Simply Sweet Fruity Yogurt Delight
Inspired by Gimme Gluten Free’s Simple Summer Berry Breakfast recipe.
Since my food choices are so slim, I’m always looking for new ways to combine foods I can have. I love this yogurt dish because it can be eaten for any meal or as a snack or dessert. And, it’s delicious!
6oz dairy free yogurt (Any flavor. I used honey flavored yogurt.)
1/4 cup raspberries (I used frozen, so that when I defrosted them I would have a nice syrup for the dish.)
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons strawberry preserves (or jam or jelly)
1 tablespoon almonds
- Defrost raspberries in the same bowl you plan to use for the yogurt (If you are using fresh raspberries just put them in the bowl first.)
- Add yogurt on top of the raspberries.
- Top with brown sugar, then preserves, then almonds.
Makes 1-2 portions.
The brown sugar and preserves give it a nice sweetness, but it’s not overpowering. And, the almonds give it a nice crunch. You are welcome to mix it all together if you want. I left it as is and just dove right now. I bet it would be good either way.
