Cherry Ice Cream With Chocolate Sauce
With warm weather in full swing, I thought it was time to come up with a new ice cream recipe. In the past, I haven’t made traditional ice cream – using ingredients like heavy cream, coconut milk, eggs, etc – and this Cherry Ice Cream recipe is no exception. It only requires two ingredients and a blender or food processor. Plus, to go along with it, I made a two ingredient chocolate sauce.
Makes between 2 and 8 servings depending on how much you want to eat.
Ingredients For Ice Cream:
2 bananas, frozen and chopped
2.5 cups pitted sweet cherries, frozen
Ingredients For Chocolate Sauce:
1 tablespoon honey + 1 teaspoon cacao powder per person
- About 1 hour before making the ice cream, take the cherries out of the freezer so that when it’s time to make the ice cream they are slightly defrosted.
- About 3-5 minutes before making the ice cream, take the bananas out of the freezer.
- When you make the ice cream put the cherries and the bananas in a blender or food processor. Process for about 5 minutes, or until smooth.
- To make the chocolate sauce just mix the honey and cacao powder. Drizzle over the ice cream.
