Typically the only one-pot dishes I make are in the crock-pot, so when I was challenged to create a new one-pot recipe, I decided I wanted to try my hand at one on the stove. I love cabbage rolls, but these days I don’t have much energy (plus the sprained ankle makes it hard to stand) to do all of the stuffing and the rolling, which is why I decide to try a deconstructed version. This recipe is pretty self explanatory. I cooked mine on low for about 2.5 hours. My crock-pot tends to cook things faster than most recipes call for, so the cook time will really depend on your crock-pot. I would recommend keeping an eye on it once you hit the 2 hour mark. [Read more...]
