My family loves going to the beach. Whether it’s down in Florida or here in Maryland, my son would live there if we let him. I don’t get all fancy when I go to the beach, but I do like to look presentable by utilizing some cute and fun beach accessories. Here are some of my favs for this season, that are inexpensive and functional.
Cheap Sunglasses – I have a pair that cost a whopping $5 at Walmart, and I think they’re great. They are basic aviators. Simple, yet cute and functional. I don’t go to the beach without them, otherwise I literally wouldn’t be able to see with the sunlight beaming off of the sand and ocean water.
A Tank – Whenever I go to the beach I like to wear a solid colored tank top over my bathing suit. This keeps me modest without looking frumpy.
Bright Colored Towel – I’m in to bright colors, so having a towel with those colors is a no-brainer for me. I like using something called Simple Sarongs because it’s a towel and a cover-up in one.
Lip Gloss – Having a chemical-free lip gloss from a company such as Badger is a must. I really prefer not to put sunscreen directly on my lips, so I use the lip gloss as a way to keep from getting sunburn and/or windburn.
A STRUCTUREbags Tote – I have a book tote from this company, and so far I am loving it. The colors are great, it’s made out of organic canvas material, and it’s just the right size to bring to the beach. I’m able to fit a camera, sunscreen, lip gloss, a waterbottle, sunglasses, my cell phone, my wallet, my epipen (can’t leave home without it!), and a few small snacks in it. If I’m not heading to the beach, I can use the tote to carry lunch, some books, an iPad, small purse items, or some small toys. One thing I really like about the tote is that it’s machine washable, so if it gets sand in it from the beach or if my son’s snacks spill in it, I can just pop it in the washing machine.
In addition to the Book Tote STRUCTUREbags also makes bifolds, mini pouches, sachets, wristlets, and mini totes. The colors are fun – ranging from pink, green, red, and yellow, to blue, grey, camo, and black. The quality of the products is fantastic. I received my product packaged beautifully, with no loose threads. Most bags I purchase in big box stores have loose threads, so I was pleasantly surprised that this one came in excellent condition.
Right now STRUCTUREbags is offering a discount code for my readers: “flourish15″ is good thru July 31, 2013. For every item you purchase from their Camo For A Cause line, $1 is donated to aid a military family.
What are some of your favorite beach accessories?
